Gene has the most drastic change from the CHAOS to Butterfly's Sonata conversion. He is no longer the whiny, pathetic, angsty boy anymore. He's now more sly and merciless when it comes to 'entertainment'. Because of my change of storying telling his existance and purpose is more revealing compared to CHAOS' subtle hints and things happening in the background. Occasionally he will turn to the audience (you, the reader), I believe it's called 'comic-awareness', and exploit panel and scene changes (i.e. time skips). In Butterfly's Sonata, his powers will still be subtle but very noticeable. They are nothing like fire spells or casting, but changes in atmosphere and behaviour of people because Gene loves to prod with people's minds.

The same ol' Von. Very passionate and protective with people he love and care but what pulls him back from his family and friends if his dark secret and lost love which haunts him every night until he finds the answer to this question: Did HE die because of me? The changes I did for him in this version is I'm going to reveal his past earlier and have him interact with more people. In other words, I'm upping the pace of the comic by a lot (no more dumb fillers, yay!).
